First and foremost,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEN! :D

Jam & I wanted to celebrate your birthday in an R21 style but I guess we can't cause all of you ('cept me!) have to get up early tomorrow!
It's alright- wait til you turn 21! Love you!

...so, the Christmas mood has really gotten me this time.
I know I've mentioned/blogged/tweeted/emphasized/FB status-ed my love for Christmas all the time but I've never been this enthusiastic about it before, so much that I voluntarily committed myself to almost 9 days of Christmas decorating in Risen Christ :D
Not to mention, I got Gen involved! haha yay!
I was rather happy when I found out that Bryan was in charge of this whole thing; he's been a really good friend to me and it's funny how we got close just in the span of 8 months.

I've been religiously going down to RC everyday since last Wednesday for meetings and whatnot and it's amazing that I still found time to end up hopping from Chips to Attica to Helipad with my crazy impromtu best friend, Jamie Quek, on Friday and meeting Jason & Edmund to Filter on Saturday.
I'm so glad my weekdays and weekends are so wonderfully eventful.

Friday was, can you say CRAZY?! It's going down in my list of EPIC-WTH-HAPPENED NIGHTS.
okay it's not much of a list considering that this is just the second on it but I'm damn sure history will repeat itself.
The first was when Joanne called me out for Iced Horlicks and we ended up somewhere in Orchard Towers (yes you read it right) with her 25-year old cousin but that's a whole different story so let's get back to Friday!

So, my Friday was supposed to look like this:
1. Meeting with my Altar/Manger team
2. Dinner with my parents and their friends in TP Lor 8 and
3. Meeting Jam at 10pm in Orchard.

Sounds really harmless yeah?

Daddy gave me a lift to Braddell MRT station and asked me,
"What time are you coming home?"
"Before 2! Confirmed! cause Chips closes early."

oh ha ha ha. I'm so not gonna believe my daughter in the future if she says this.
But don't get me wrong- I really meant it, I had no intention to lie to them but that was at... 9.45pm. I didn't expect what was gonna happen after 11.45pm.

Chips was a memorable place for both of us and unfortunately for me, he wasn't there that night. pooey.
Got a table and a jug of our favourite drink- Redbull vodka. and started chatting like what was supposed to be OUR girls night out.
And soon enough, a guy came over and started engaging us in small talk and wow, was he A-nnoying. He really did expire his welcome.
We decided to escape the moment he left the table. Made that phone call to JL and took turns to down our redbull vodka before meeting JL outside Forum.

So, we went to Attica and we were so not dressed for a club but who really cares if you're there in jeans and white tank/spagh right?
JL opened a bottle of... I can't remember what but we had more cans of Redbull! hahaha. yay.
After which, we crossed over to Helipad where Dwayne & Axel were.
Don't ask, but at 2ish, I was sitting alone on the steps of Central waiting for Dwayne.
I assured Jam that I was gonna be fine.

After I met Dwayne, Josh came over in a cab to pick us and whaddya know, we headed to Di En's house all the way in Joo Chiat!
It was pretty weird hanging with him again especially when we were laughing so much about our inside joke on 'blended nasi lemak' and having him gradually moving closer to me. yup.
Anyway, BG & Kmah a.k.a. my bro were there too :) really love these 2 crazy dudes.
Played a few rounds of 'I Never' and Kmah sent BG, Josh, Dwayne & I home at 6.
I was dead tired and we only reached home at 6.40am.
haha epic, epic night.

-

Saturday wasn't as epic as Friday and the only impromtu decision I made was going to Filter.
The afternoon was spent in church once again, helping Jacob out with his Con 3s.
And then Jason & Edmund in the evening. I really like hanging with them.
They're now SAF's properties and they were talking non-stop about NS related stuff and with the occasion of insulting me cohesively. haha.
I know this time will come; the time when both of my best poly buds enter NS and all they'll talk about is... well- NS.
I'll sit through all of it just as how they sat through my emotional ramblings.

It was my first time at Filter and I'm surprised that it's really small.
Though my heels were killing me the entire time, it was still an amazing night with Kmah, BG, Sam, Di En & Rachel.
We didn't stay til Filter closed though, 'cause I guess we were all worn out in one way or another.
Josh came much later when we were about to leave and so he just joined us for supper.
Fell asleep at the back of Kmah's Scirocco on the way home.
And after a night of meaningless hits, he ended the night perfectly with his Country playlist playing, 'Remind Me' and 'Honey Bee'.

...I'll blog more about Christmas deco and how I'm dedicating 14 days almost consecutively doing God's work in my next post! :) Looking forward to helping Jess with her Con 3 banner next week!

Goodnight!

Bring on the festive season!

After 2 weeks of memorising shit I really don't understand and a severe lack of sleep, I am done with the first sem of uni exams!

The feeling of the last day of exams never gets old from the minute someone says, "It's 5.30pm, stop writing." to walking out of the exam hall feeling tremendously free for the next couple of months.

And in my head, I was scanning the list of things I was gonna do-
1. Picnic with the RMIT clique
2. Playing tourists in Chinatown with Jamie
3. Celebrating Gen's birthday R21 style
4. Clubbing with Kmah & BG and friends of friends of friends
5. Completing my driving lessons
6. Hugging Ally when she gets back on the 26 Nov (yes, mark your calendars! I miss her.)
7. Decorating Risen Christ with Christmas decos
8. Winter cleaning of my room
9. Con camp with Jess & Esti (we're finally facil-ing together again!)
...and more to come!

We're 4o days to Christmas and approximately 3 months to 21. (I'm not gonna count the days- it gets depressing.)
And I can't believe how far I've come, how much I've changed and how much I've experienced in the past months. I met so many wonderful people this year and I'm sure some are taking up permament residence in my life. haha.
I'm really grateful.
And most importantly- I think I'm happy.

That rebel moon is shining; those stars burn like diamonds.
