Happy 21st Birthday, good friend :) I know it's already past midnight and I have yet to wish you. Haha you're confusing me with your love-hate relationship with birthdays! You're miles away and I'd give you a big hug if I could, I swear. I miss you tons, my friend! 22 more days, yay!

I don't remember whose treat is it this time, but! Let it start with me when you get back. And we've got so much to catch up on, I need to start remembering what I've to tell you. Unfortunately, Joan isn't here to hang with us 'cause she's busy eating chapatis and finding cows in India. And YOL, I do hope you're gonna sing then. and I need to witness you on your guitar and perhaps a stayover! omgosh, will that be possible? With the clique and all! haha I like them so much.

I wish you all the best, today and everyday. There was never a weekend when I've forgotten about you in my HTHT with Jesus. haha. You've a great big future ahead, have real fun in school (I'm starting to dread my graduation 'cause I love school more than work), continue making awesome friends and don't worry so much about stuff. God has a way of making everything turn out right in the end.

I hope your day will be as special and as brilliant as you are.

xx

Thursday, May 24, 2012 @3:02 AM

Today, I spent my whole day at home. WHOLE DAY :D and I refused to plan anything on cause I was just lazy. haha.

Joanne asked if I wanted to club tonight but then she realised she doesn't have her IC nor her passport with her! hahaha so the plan to club got scraped and they were gonna hang at Hannah's place tonight but I didn't go in the end. And even my night plans were cancelled, I wasn't even bummed about it!

Spent my afternoon sleeping on the couch and then it was like, 2, 3 hours worth of HIMYM :D and now I'm just watching CMA Country Christmas 2011 show. wts?

Anyway, on a side note, Ed texted me last afternoon and it caught me by surprise. Okay maybe I shouldn't be thaaat surprised anymore since this isn't the first time I go, 'awww, he misses us.' hahah.  He's one of my good friends whom I don't give enough credit to. He wanted to hang with Jason & I this week and y'know why I'm always this surprised whenever he asks for a meet up. We were groupmates for a 2-month project in ELDC, three years ago, together with Jason. And I always thought he was someone who seemed so aloof, chauvinistic, a dull and no-nonsense person and someone who may not appreciate such meet ups or bother maintaining friendships with me (cause we weren't close at all back then!) is actually someone who bothers to text you at random times, says we're 'buddies', checks to see how I am with whoever I'm seeing, asks me for female advice and gives me advice, is a pretty great boyfriend towards Hui Min (Who knew! haha!) and he gets irritatingly funny when he annoys me. And he's one of my few friends who scream "BITCH!" to my face. hahahaha.

Like I said, I find it amazing how the world throws people together, I bumped into him in Zirca once and then in Zouk. In April last year, he told me out of the blue that he got his licence and he called me out one night for a spin which we ended up driving to look for Jason and it all evolved from there where it became a monthly affair. I'm seeing trends, why do I keep strengthening friendships after meeting them in clubs? okay that's besides the point.

Anyway, we hang pretty often, like I said once a month at least, but it never really occured to me that perhaps, we mean more to him than we think we do. And I'm serious. I really am! haha this stupid Edmund outdoes himself all the time.

Who knew he ended up at my 21st. And I'm pretty sure, he'll end up at my wedding too. Earlier this evening, we were talking about my confidence in my exams this sem and if only I had the same amount of confidence with K and it gets me everytime. Everytime, for 2 years plus now, that name just gets me. And he replied me, "Haha. I can feel your silly lovesick smile from all the way here." I don't know why, it doesn't look/sound v significant, but this text made my night.

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 @1:19 AM

The past week was probably the busiest week in May and thank god the activities are slowing down. May was packed with fun and games and meet ups and June just looks pretty sad to me now. Hmm :/ minus Con 2 camp and two important people coming back home, it looks sad.

Last Wednesday had Jamie, her mum & I going down to IKEA 'cause I wanted to get coloured photoframes for my room! Jam's mum was teasing me about B and God knows who else she knows about! *glares at Jam* And I kept teasing Jamie about getting a place with V or moving in with him. She even knew what he bought from IKEA the last time. Plates, bowls, photoframes! You name it, she knows if he has it or not :O talk about creepy. haha.

Had the usual hotdog, drink and ice cream for $2! :D I wonder how they make money with thaaat kinda price for a tiny meal. Went over to Anchorpoint for the outlet stores and Cold Storage. There wasn't really anything there that was worth buying so we left for town. It was also almost time for our 4/9 '07 gathering at Marche. So... might as well!

Jam's mum drove us to town and hung with us til she abruptly left to pick Jam's dad! It was actually fun hanging out with her! Like mother, like daughter. Now I know why Jam's so peculiar and naughty.

As usual, barely anyone was on time for dinner at Marche. 6.45pm was the meeting time even though I told Mr Fernandez 7.30pm cause I knew the rest would be late. It was pretty frustrating at the start, how everyone came at different intervals and being super duper late, the night was still pretty delightful. It's great to see how everyone is doing 5 years after graduation and how they're still as chatty and loud as ever. IJ girls, some things never change. And even after 5 years, when I believe my chairperson duties should have ended, I'm still organising things like these for the class. hahaha. 11 people turned up that night, excluding Mr F, the rest were either studying overseas, uncontactable or working late. But that's alright. I didn't really talk much, just listened to bits of conversations here and there. There were at least three going on at one point. We reminisced about how noisy we were, how some of them traumatised some of our teachers, how Mrs Mag Low scared the shit out of us during English and Lit lessons, how Mr Stanley's 3Rs are, "Repent, Reflect and Renew" and GO means "Get Out", how Mr F was skeptical about taking our class in Sec 4 which turned out to be his most memorable and colourful class.

He also spoke about how the culture in IJ is changing 'cause less IJ Primary girls move on to IJ Sec now, which is kinda sad but these things can't really be helped so I thank God I was there 5 years ago :) He still went on and on about SJI's spirit and basically, I understood the kind of pride he has coming from a mission school, much like my sense of pride coming from IJ. It's a totally different feeling going back to IJ and going back to NYP.

I spent the last couple of hours of the night with Joanne and Hannah at Serangoon Gardens playing Monopoly Deal. Hannah owned us most of the time and I won once and Joanne was left bankrupt all the time when she was the one who declared that she'll own us all even before we started playing.

-

Felt feverish in the morning and I spammed Panadol cause I didn't wanna miss laser tag with the uni bunch! IT'S LASER TAGGG! I need to get more than a negative score!

Anyway, Ascension mass at 12.45pm and Tilly picked me up opposite church after mass and we headed to Bukit Gombak!

We went to Home Team NS again. We formed two groups- Tilly, me, Anwar and Hakim. And Hsin Rui, Shah and Zul. I'm not that good at all in laser tag, but I sure feel like a Stormtrooper running around in the maze, in the dark. hahaha. I need to learn how to aim accurately and duck quickly.

The first round was 20 minutes, and I ended up sitting on a ramp, camping and shooting people from there. Hsin Rui was the calm one, strolling around. Shah was the ninja, appearing everywhere and I don't remember seeing Zul at all! hahaha.

Our second round went on for 10 minutes because we wanted to bowl after. This time round was every man for himself. And that 10 minutes was freaking epic! It was so much more fun than teaming up. So 30 minutes of laser tag was my week's worth of exercise! hahahah.

Bowling after! and I like my name on the score screen- Princess Ariel. HAHAHAHA. After the game, Tilly and Hsin left for NYP for training and the rest of us headed to Geylang Serai for dinner :) Cheok and Rach met us over there. Dinner was with friends of friends of friends whiiiich was pretty weird. Us SIM clique decided to go for shisha at Arab Street after dinner.

Finally got to shisha! It's just one of those things which I'm just curious to try at least once! Thank God, I didn't go with Josh as I planned to otherwise he'll have to finish all the shisha thingy for me. hahaha. We should just stick to fruit juice ah, clanks. ...SO anyways, I don't think I shisha-ed right, I couldn't really taste the grape mint flavour. Haha. Then an awkward moment happened when we saw Jason's friends, C & FY sitting directly opposite us and they openly covered their faces when they whispered about us, I'm pretty sure it's about us. Yeahhhh. ANYWAYS! We left at 11 and I spammed Panadol again at night. hahah. I hate falling sick :(

Wonderful, wonderful day out with the clique.

-

IJ Fiesta on Friday! :) It's the same thing every year. I just go back to look for teachers and just to see the school. Nic, Jam & I went back together this time. This year's theme? A Party Under The Sea. hahaha. Last year's was Hakuna Matata. IJ girls just get Disney man. There was even a Princess Ariel Beauty Parlour somewhere! oh it's behind Nic & Jam! hahaha.

Jam & Nic were swooning over a new teacher and they went to the board to find out his name! hahaha. Just like old times. We didn't really explore much. Jam & I sat outside the HOD office to wait for that teacher, to see if he was actually in the staffroom. I'm not interested in him at all. It's just fun doing these nonsense. hahaha. So, Nic & Jam stood outside the office waiting for a glimpse of him and Mr F actually caught Jamie's reaction when he stepped out of the staff room! HAHAHAHHAHA. Freaking epic moment.

So Mr F spoke to us again, for a vvvvv long time. Sweet teacher, he is. He really is.

I slacked in my mum's staffroom after Jam and Nic left. And mum gave me a lift to church for
session :)

Session was alright. Had a short game of The Price is Right hosted by Charmaine & Jeremy. haha. Yup, it was a good night.

-

Saturday had me nursing a stupid fever but I still went for class and mass. haha. Totally KOed at night. Sigh, a wonderful Saturday evening was spent on the sofa. Ohwell. I started messing around with my best friends and my family by sending them a photo of me sponging myself and pouting, asking if anyone wanted to look after me. HAHAHA. But mummy's still the best :)

-

I'm getting real lazy to type already :( hahaha.

ANYWAYYYS, Jo and I were an hour late for our work briefing at Labrador Park. It was bloody hot and I was still sick, I don't even know what I was feeling. I was feeling cold AND hot. whuuut.

I rushed to meet the churchies at Marina area after for Charmaine's choir performance at The Esplanade. I like Charmaine and I love her mad piano skills, but it's something about recitals and choir performances which I don't get! HAHA. I don't quite know how to appreciate classical music and a group of people singing in languages I don't understand. But being there with 19 other churchies was good enough to salvage the time in a hall with no reception!

Dinner at Makansutra with Jeremy, Aloy, Gerald and Les. And then it's home from town we go.

It's a new week today so let's see what this week will bring :)

Monday, May 14, 2012 @2:31 AM

Y'know, this is the thing about not having school/exams, you tend to get bored, so bored that I end up lighting scented candles all over the house. Okay, not all over but wherever has a candle. 2 in the dining room, 2 in kitchen, 1 next to my piano, 2 in my living room and 1 in the balcony. And they have been exposed to the air for so long that they don't give off their scent anymore :( Maybe I should light the one I have upstairs...

ANYWAY, Jess darling already left for Thailand. My 4th friend to leave :/ hmphf. Met up with her last Tuesday for a simple (and long overdued) dinner at S11. Joachim joined us a little later and hahaha, I told him something that made him lost his appetite. I cannot gossip, I cannot gossip, I cannot gossip so much. So we HTHTed for a bit at S11 and Joach wasn't much of a help! darling, just ask T. But then again, the break to Thailand might do you good :)

We went to NTUC after dinner cause Joachim wanted to get chicken breasts so badly and right where the poultry section was, he googled, "How to cook chicken breast?" on his phone -.- Hahahaha and I cannot believe we were teaching him how to cook it.
"Just marinate it la!"
"Salt and pepper....."
"Leave it overnight, with rosemary or something."
"Nono, I don't need to have it so tasty y'know."
"Then just put oil and fry la!"
"Okay so, olive oil or..."
"Olive oil also can."
"...and salt and pepper and..." *walks over to check out different spices*
"Saffron!" -.-

So... anyway, good luck with the chicken breasts, Joachim. hahah we bought a box of six red bean potongs and decided to hang around the area above the train tracks to eat them! We ate and did absolutely NOTHING. Which was pretty nice. How often do you get to do NOTHING. Just as Joachim said, we don't get to do this without feeling guilty during school days. Fine, so I shouldn't complain so often that I'm bored anymore. hahaha. Saw Jess off on 88 before walking home :) You'll be fine, darling.

Wednesday was Attica with Jamie aka Poopy. Strangely, it was pretty terrible that night. hm. The music was weird, the crowd was dead and we were hungry at different intervals. HAHAHA. At 2am, we decided to have Macs. She did, I had BK earlier on. hahaha. I think we were a liiittle bit off, and I could've sworn that two guys were laughing at us 'cause we were laughing quite randomly.

Thursday- I ALMOST DIED OF BOREDOM. hahaha.

I gave my first tuition ever on Friday! To Jason's sister. hahaha.
I was very apprehensive initially when he asked.
"You wanna teach English?"
"Okayyyy, where?"
"Redhill."
"Okayyy." *after much persuasion*
"Fine, to who?"
"AWESOME. MY SISTER!"
:O
"But it's English! And the first two people I thought of was Keith and you. But he's in army so..."
OMG. I know. I was conned -.- hahaha. Anyway, although I'm still slightly apprehensive about it, I still took it up since he had that much faith in me. Aww-worthy moment. Hahaha.

After tuition, he sent me to CQ and hung there with me til Jamie came. Sat by the river and talked about my game plan withhh someone and how Edmund, him and I got close. We're so sentimental. HAHAHAHA.

So anyway, Jam & I headed to ATTICA again! This time, it was for B's birthday, belated birthday. Dwayne & friend were the photographers for that night and he kept placing Jam and I where the lights shone the best and snapped photos of us :) So cute, this brother.

We always end up playing some sort of 'catching' on the dancefloor. Kept running around the dancefloor, to the toilets, around the bar, to B's table, just to avoid someone who kept following us like a parasite. Lucky for him, he disappeared the moment we wanted to tell him to leave us alone.

Hiding out at B's table was a little weird, firstly we didn't even know any of his friends. And he was missing half the time so... yeahhh. Anyway, after a while, we got to know a couple of them which still didn't really make it any easier for us. haha so dancefloor againnn! And I cannot believe the DJ was capable of playing K-Pop that night. K-Pop is something I will never understand. (and Nicki Minaj) I'll listen to BEP's Shut Up anytime if there's K-Pop involved. omg grosssssss.

We left around 4ish. Jam bought macs before B sent us home. He hung with me around my estate til 7? Yeahhh... One less problem pleaseeeeee :(

Sigh. Funny how the world makes people come together like that. Who we meet and how we met. hmm. Speaking of this, remember I bumped into Nate a month ago at Zouk? we're now trying to plan dinner with Daryl, Leonard & KX. What if I hadn't? I wouldn't have reconnected with them and have regular group chat on whatsapp. Good move, world :)

Talking to Jamie & KC on msn right now and listening to Pistol Annies on Youtube :)

Bored? haha where got time?

P.S. KC says hi. hahaha.

Tuesday, May 08, 2012 @2:33 AM

Two semesters down, one more to go. (YAY/NAY?)

This might sound pretty odd but the feeling that I've already ended my exams haven't sunken in. haha. And I don't bloody know why.

Anyway, let's back track to last Friday. hahaha.

Friday was good day. Like I said, a better day than Thursday. Besides having only 2 hours plus of sleep in the morning and Entre's crappy case study, all went well. Marketing kids are done with exams! HR & Finance still have one more to clear this week. Fkyeah.

Lunched at SP with the HR kids. And I was clearly the only one who was vvv happy. haha.

I was supposed to meet Josh but change of plans and I ended up napping my afternoon away. Was awaken by Keith's call and I couldn't get back to sleep after. Headed out to AMK Hub to meet Keith & Jason 'bout 9. Yeah I got psychoed into watching The Avengers for the second time. At least it was Avengers- Scarlett and Chris Evans are hot. hahah. And I admit, it was really a good film coming from a non-Marvel fan.

Supper @ macs and I had 'moments' there which I like to blame Jason for. hahaha. More NS talk while I just sat there eating my strawberry sundae and $1 Coke. haha. Keith sent us home after that. I told Tilly & KC about what happened and I find it amusing how both of them were griping that I'm never that happy when they send me home. HAHAHAHA.

Slept at 5.45am after watching Aladdin & Rapunzel and with the storm going on outside, it was just my idea of celebrating the start of a two months break :)

-

Got up feeling a little on the downside. I don't really know why. Just wasn't feeling all that great emotionally. Saw something on FB, suppressed that feeling and then I decided to go for mass at RC.

Headed off after dinner to meet Brendan, Jeremy & Aloysius at Modesto's in town to watch Arsenal vs Norwich. We trained down to CQ after the match and walked around there, soaking in the nightlife before settling down at the bar right next to the Bungee for a couple of drinks.

JoJo Lifrox aka Joanne came over to meet us around midnight and we walked all the way to an Irish bar in Bras Basah to meet Jason & friends. I was pretty determined to stay out that night. Idk why but I think needed that. Another soccer match was going on inside but Jo & I, being randomly gross as ever (what we call ourselves when we want to eat something sinful/when we sound terribly greedy) sneaked off to eat tau huey. HAHA. Jason's guilt trip had no effect on me after all. (Y)

Went back to the bar after to watch the last few mins of the match and only when Chels won did I realise it was the FA Cup finals. So no wonder there was champagne on the pitch. I thought they were that desperate to win an EPL match.

We landed up at LaSalle, sat around and started talking. It's amazing Jason & Joanne could have a decent conversation :) I never really like mixing different groups of friends. But both of them were justfine. I could've sat there talking to them til the sun rose but Jason was falling asleep so we left.

-

Sunday was spent with the family selecting tiles for our new bathroom. OMG. It was dreadfully boring looking at, tiles. I think I'll suck at designing my own place next time when I can't even choose bathroom tiles. My parents are taking a month to choose their own. hah.

Dinner at Seoul Garden- don't like smelling like fried beef/chicken/everything else in Seoul Garden. It's been a while since we last went out with Dwayne for a proper dinner :)

We went to Kino for fun and Dwayne bought The Bro Code. hahaha.

-

Today was a boring and stupid day. How the hell did I wait two and a half hours in SSDC? Thank God Joanne accompanied me the whole day otherwise, I'd have died of boredom. We drank Milo and kopi at the canteen while searching for jobs on our handphones. and that woman gave up so early! -.- We neeeeeed a job! Anyways, THANK YOU WOMAN for accompanying me. <3 <3 The two things that salvaged the day was Mengs & our photos. hahaha. and random bursts of laughter at people advertising for their jobs offers and random shit we crapped about. Like wearing a wedding dress to an exam hall. hahaha. and we hate going to Woodlands.

With all the random stuff I just typed out, I am in need of retail therapy soon.

GOODNIGHT!

P.S. Spacings once again messed up in IE and I still dk why.

"Sometimes life leads you down a different road
When you’re holding on to someone that you gotta let go
Someday you’ll see the reason why
Sometimes, yeah sometimes, there’s good in goodbye."

- Carrie Underwood, 'Good in Goodbye'

This just killed my mood to study tonight. You see, it always happens.
Blogging just a few hours before a paper.

Besides this, I'm not feeling all that good about J.
It will all come to an end. I just know it and I'm still not letting go.
I've already told my friends to leave me doing what I'm doing and I'll have myself to blame in the end.
My thoughts are all over the place now :( I don't like this. I don't like this at all.
Goodbye soon?

AND I'm just upset, a teeny bit upset that there'll be a period in June when most of my close friends aren't in Singapore with me :( the thought of it now just sucks.

Jam's going to Boston for 6 weeks, Gen's going away just before she leaves (thank god it's just 8 days), Joanne's leaving for India for 3 MONTHS, Jess is going to Thailand for her summer programme, Ally's already in Aussie and Bryan's in Tasmania.

I'm happy for them, truly, I am. And if anyone of them migrates (which may happen) I'll be thankful that they found what they wanted and hope life treats them with love.
There's good in good bye and maybe someday I'll see the reason why.

But I'm looking on the bright side- tomorrow will be a better day because it's the end of exams and I'll be off til July and I'll be meeting Jason & Keith tomorrow night just for fun :) And I've already plans to meet Jess darling next week and omg clubbing with Jamie & Gen next Wed in Attica! Miss that place. hahaha. Don't you, poopy? ;)

Alrightyroo. Time to go and force myself to finish a few more chapters of Entrepreneurship. Studied you once in poly and now in uni. I will not study you the third time.
