A great weekend and a mess of an exam
I'm not in the best of moods tonight :( Okay, maybe not as bad as I'm making it out to be but I think I'm just sad. I think I took the worst paper of my uni life this afternoon. It is, strangely, my fave module of the sem and I did the most prep for it but I found myself controlling my tears in the exam hall. What the hell just happened in there? I don't know. In my defence though, some questions were a little ambiguous. So yeah, I didn't manage to finish writing my 9 marks essay question and I eeny meeny miney mo-ed a couple of MCQs.
KC accompanied me to Thomson Plaza after the paper for cheesefries and I did some impulse buys at Popular. Paper. I bought pieces of coloured paper, tracing paper (the thick better quality one. haha.), the old school origami paper and a super pretty shiny origami paper. All for $3! hahaha. I had my reasons for getting them alright. ...Anyway, while I was paying up, Hsin Rui dropped me a really sweet message on whatsapp and I appreciate that gesture so much :)
Alright, stupid paper aside, I had a good weekend with Josh :)
Studied a few hours on Friday afternoon and I met him in the evening for a little shopping. We hopped from Uniqlo to Topshop/Topman at Ion and then to the one at Knightsbridge and back to Ion. We were initially heading to H&M buuut we also had a tiny unfortunate event outside Mandarin Gallery, which forced us to make a detour to the nearest toilet and there and then, he decided on the aztec pullover from Topman. Haha. Signs. hahahah.
:) on a really random note, I noticed the Christmas decos along Orchard Rd are halfway up! :D Can't wait for the best season of the year.
Hahah and because we had an hour plus to kill before heading to Filter, I decided to get some BK. Hershey sundae pie to be specific :D got a meal and I got a tiny ice cream too! HEHE. It was so good omg. So good that Josh wanted to buy me 22 HSP for my 22nd birthday next year. Hahahahaha. You'll have to help me eat! Share the fats. hahah. (He said Jam and Gen could help btw. hahaha.)
So we headed to Filter, waited outside for a while and we ended up playing with a ginger cat by the river. freeeeaking adorable.
Kenny and BG suited up and Sammy was Katy Perry that night with her neon blue wig. hahaha. Got upstairs, those cute Filter styrofoam tubes thingy with coloured lightbulbs were everywhere, Josh pointed out that the DJ looked a bit like one of his close friends, Kenny was stoning half the time, BG was pouring some alcohol randomly into our mouths, Kenny & Josh got us some Jaggerbomb and I was just happy being around them :) ...my body started rejecting alcohol after a while and gosh, the red spots/patches were terrible. Don't tell me whiskey isn't the only alcohol I have an allergic reaction to? :(
We headed off pretty early 'round 2ish, got home, got distracted by the lighted tube I took home from Filter and crashed :D
And then came Saturday... Slept in, missed a workshop in church, catechism class and met my lazy worm again!
We had dinner at the coffeeshop opposite church, talked about our day, and we headed off to Upper Thomson for ice cream with his sister and her boyfriend. It was a Saturday, half of town's probably celebrating Halloween somewhere but spending time like that, in the heartlands, sweet and simple was just as wonderful.
It was really funny watching the siblings. The brother dishing out secrets about the sister to her boyfriend and shooting her down with all his witty comebacks. I swear I couldn't stop laughing and Josh always never fails to share how lousy my Mandarin is. Hahaha. Especially the stupid 'qian bian' prank. But like I said, sweet and simple and fun.
Josh & I caught Looper at J8 after that :) Looper's surprisingly good. haha. Anyways, he walked me home, talked a little bit about our schedules the coming week and I know it's only Monday, but I'm already looking forward to the weekends and seeing him.
