Let's start this post with an embarrassing photo of me 6 years ago.
Yes, okay, I know- Holy shit what was up with my hair. Zip it. I know I was a disaster here with that atrocious hair. hahaha. (In my defence, it was cause I got tired of tying plaits.) But that's not the focus of the photo okay? :D Anyway, this was PLC 06/07 and we started out as pretty innocent yet rebellious Sec 1s in Guides and who'd ever thought this bunch of silent troublemakers made it as Patrol Leaders. Hahaha. And I'm serious, I used to be rebellious when I first joined Guides. :P ...So anyway, over the years, after we graduated from IJ and attended different JCs & Polys and moved on to different unis, for some reason, we always made a point to meet up every semester.
So this is us, 6 years after graduation :)
Well, although we try to meet up every semester, we've never once hit full strength. And last night, was no exception. Hahaha. (Bet you thought we finally had full attendance!) hahaha. A pity that Benedicta couldn't meet us at the last minute. But it's alright, last night was by far, the best PLC meet up ever.
Dinner was at Everything With Fries in Holland V. Everyone came pretty much on time. Some came from home, some from work and some from school. The energy within us was just great. And seriously, some things never change.
Regina, the aunty of the group, still provided us with gossips and info about our seniors and juniors and even random IJ peeps. Esti & Yi Fen were as usual, talking about really super intellectual stuff which the rest of us just end up leaving the both of them to talk. haha. I swear, one's a scholar and the other was IJ's head prefect. Too intellectual for our liking already. hahaha.
During most meet ups, we'll always update each other on our lives, who we're dating, how many years of school we have left, what ever happened to this senior or that teacher but we hardly reminisced about the more memorable parts of guides. But last night, we were reminiscing more than ever. Talked about so many things- our combined camp with the St Gabriel's Scouts, how we always played hide-and-seek with Ms Lakshmi during recess (cause she won't stop talking to us about guides related stuff.), how we called our teachers in charge 'Medusa' and 'Luncheon Meat', about that one time when we walked along the expressway carrying poles back to SJI (Thank God we didn't have STOMP back then.), how no one dared to clear the dead 2-inch lizard that was in the den, how we found photos of old guides dating back to the 1960s, when we kicked a tent and discovered that Ms Lakshmi was actually sleeping inside, how we were laughing, jumping on trampolines and falling off the gym equipment in the hall that Alvin Tang and Wil-Kie Tan came to scold us for being too noisy and how we wore FBT shorts to town to watch a movie after a campfire. The funniest story was really the hike back to SJI with the poles along the expressway. It got us laughing for minutes. And Regina recalled how when we reached SJI, the scouts told us that we could've just asked them to send a truck down to IJ.
We all left around 10ish. It was a wonderful dinner, and guess we'll meet again, the next time Yi Fen & Esti come back :)

Besides the meet up, this week's been rough. Idk why but this week's passing a little too slowly :( I want Saturday to arrive asap so I can see Josh. Been missing him a lot recently. Sigh.
