I'm sitting on my bed with a cup of coffee on my bedside table and wishing the boyfriend was next to me tonight.
Time seems to be creeping tonight and I wonder why. But nonetheless, it was a good day spent settling my pre-employment stuff and running with Joanne & her doggy along the longkang. hahaha okay it was a legit PCN path.
Alright in other news, my best friend and fellow Poopy left for Perth in May :( Ally & Gen were overseas at that time so that explains their absence. Although it wasn't the best plan for her to move there, I guess if the roles were reversed, I would have done the same.
I'm not really upset cause we're still texting each other everyday and there's no time difference btw Perth and Singapore. It kinda feels like she hasn't left at all. But we all know that she can't watch The Noose every Tuesday like I can! (That's the only local show worth watching.) hahahaha! Sorry Poops, you gotta wait for xinmsn to upload! neh neh ni poo poo.
Keep safe and I'll slap you in December! xx.

My last day at the zoo was exactly a month ago and it was definitely an experience worth sharing. Somehow people always seem intrigued when I say I work in the zoo. I'd pick working in the zoo over the CBD area anytime.
My colleagues gave me a farewell lunch at Hans along with a farewell present. At times like these, all the frustrations I ever had with them during my time there just disappeared. I try not to be hypocritcal but I guess they really do care when you put work aside. They just had to make it bittersweet. Just when I thought that was it, I received a card with their well wishes in my future endeavours just before the day ended.
See y'all when I see y'all.

Mother's Day dinner at Jamie Oliver's restaurant! :) Mummy is a HUGE fan of Jamie Oliver so much so she calls him her 'British Boyfriend' and I decided that there was where we should bring her for dinner.
The portions were a little disappointing for a couple of dishes but their steaks were delightful. Almost as good as the ones mummy cooks at home. And that's cause she follows Jamie's recipes! hahaha.

This could possibly be the best night I had in May. I sat through 90 minutes of Disney scores, solely Disney scores by IJ Concert Band. Meredith & I were almost late we literally ran through that long passageway in Esplanade in our maxi dresses and thankfully we made it juuust on time. hahaha.
Ohmygod. I never imagined that I would ever watch a concert band playing all my favourite Disney songs. Basically, it was medlys after medlys and I'm so glad they included the unpopular ones as well. Omg my fave was Prologue from Beauty & the Beast- it was so hauntingly beautiful. The medlys they played were from films like Pocahontas, Mulan, Up, Rapunzel, Enchanted, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Tarzan, and their encore was 'Let It Go'. I'd pay to watch it again man.

Mummy & I went on a mother-daughter bonding session to Macau and Hong Kong in the second week of June! Honestly, this trip wouldn't have happened if I hadn't won a voucher from Cosmo magazine but I'm so glad I did.
Most of the photos are still in mummy's handphone. I cannot believe I was capable of forgetting to bring a proper camera overseas. Sighpie. But! I didn't let that dampen the trip there. The highlight of the trip was obviously DISNEYLAND! It has been 11 YEARS since I last went to a Disneyland. That's a whole decade of movies! So I'm just gonna talk about Disneyland until I get the other photos transferred to my laptop.
Soooo, it was possibly the worst decision of my mum's life to accompany me to Disneyland alone. She said this herself uh. HK Disneyland wasn't much but it was definitely something compared to 11 years of Disneyland drought. Mummy was so funny the whole day. She kept joking on how she shouldn't have let me watch all the cartoons when I was young. hahahaha.
I went the whole day without lunch and dinner wasn't til midnight. I don't know how I did that. I had a cup of Nestum, churros, a bite of ice cream and water for the whole day.
The walk into Disneyland was cruel, it was such a long walk in, and with Disney songs playing in the background, I was just like, "Where is Sleeping Beauty's castle already?!?!". I was so excited I took photos of almost everything -.- hahaha.
I couldn't resist the souvenirs in Main Street, I just had to go in. I made a mental note of what I wanted to get at the end of the day and I really had to shorten my list :( :( We went to Fantasyland first because it was the most princessy land and I was quite disappointed :( it was so tiny la.
Mummy insisted on buying a Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream and in the midst of opening it, I saw Rapunzel and I just ran up to her for a photo, stuffing the ice cream wrapper in my bag (I only realised it hours later). Hahaha.
Tarzan's treehouse!
Hi mummy!
Haha I had to do this.
Toy Story Land was seriously the cutest place.
Well, we tried. hahaha.
Thankfully the queues for most rides were shorter than expected so we got on pretty fast. I didn't manage to sit all the rides but we conquered the only 2 rollercoasters, Cinderella's carousel, Flying Dumbo and hell lot more. Half way through the madness, we parked ourselves at a corner of Main Street for the parade and ran off for more rides and shows after.
I decided to sacrifice the fireworks for shopping because there was no way I'm leaving empty handed. I really needed more time to shop. Shopping was madness- I grabbed so many things but I had to filter them cause I didn't need half the things I took. hahaha. I spent $200 plus in the end and it was safe to say I was deliriously happy.
Love my mum to bits for tolerating me the whole day.
The next time I set foot in Disneyland, I really really hope it's the one in California.

This was what I missed the most while I was away :')

I guess if I actually get down to transferring the photos, I'll continue writing about my HK trip. But it's bedtime for me now!
So... goodnight!
